The Souvenir Hunters #1
Modeling the U.S. Army in WWII

Wolf
WAW31

This is a jeep driver in a wool melton greatcoat, one hand on the steering wheel and the other extended with a Knights Cross in its palm. He’s a companion to the second souvenir hunter from Wolf, but you could replace his hand, perhaps having him present his papers to an MP. Because the Germans sent some of their soldiers out in American uniforms to infiltrate and create confusion at the outset of the Battle of the Bulge, it was necessary to set up checkpoints and verify IDs.

This soldier wears the combat boots with the buckled leather gaiters, a .45 pistol and canteen. He also sports the M1941 wool cap without a helmet. His head is a bit on the small side, and I might be tempted to swap it with another from Hornet.

I haven't used this figure yet so I can’t comment how well he will fit into a jeep, but he’s scaled on the shorter end, noticeably smaller than the winter vehicle passengers from MK35 but on par with the trio from ADV. Sculpting is excellent and cleanup is minimal, but care must be taken with the delicately upturned collar. A nice simple vignette can be achieved with this figure and his companion.
