Nemrod
35043

This is another excellent airborne figure from Nemrod, a paratrooper warily advancing with his Garand at the ready. He's fully loaded with the typical gear of the soldiers who dropped into Normandy in the early hours of June 6: M1936 musette bag, a pair of bandoliers strapped across his chest, pistol, canteen, first aid pouch, wire cutters, trench knife, entrenching tool, and grenade. A unique bit of armament is the Hawkins mine that is strapped to his leg, a very nice touch. The mine isn't readily apparent in the box photo, but it should be painted a reddish-brown color.

Again, this is an exquisitely sculpted and detailed piece. There are no significant seams or flash to contend with, and dry-fitting of the arms to the torso reveals no problems with construction. Both hands are molded onto the Garand for a realistic grasp. The only quibble about the figure is that proportionally, his legs are rather short for the rest of his body, and feet are rather tiny (the latter trait shared with other recent Nemrod paratroopers). But that's a small matter, so to speak.

This figure is a perfect complement to Nemrod's other airborne soldiers.
