U.S. GI with BAR
Modeling the U.S. Army in WWII

This soldier is on his guard, looking upwards with his BAR raised, his left leg forward. He could be looking up the bluffs of Omaha Beach or for a sniper in St. Lo or Wiltz. He wears an M1941 jacket (cut a bit too short for my tastes) and OD trousers with large thigh cargo packets. He has a .45 pistol molded onto his hip, but no canteen or pack.

The sculpting of this figure is excellent, and a nice touch is the way the back of his right trouser leg spills over the canvas legging. His hands are molded onto the BAR, but since one arm is molded onto his body, you only need to adjust for his left arm when gluing the pieces together. The figure is free of flash or mold seams. He stands around 5’9”, a bit more realistic in height than many figures.
