U.S. MP Ardennes 1944
Modeling the U.S. Army in WWII

MK35
F006

Upon close examination, it appears the legs of this figure are the same as those of an early Tamiya walking soldier from the European infantry set (the ripped knee in the trousers is a nice "original" differentiation). But the rest of the figure is original. He wears the double-breasted mackinaw and carries a Thompson submachine gun. He has a toque around his head, topped with a helmet. While he’s described as an MP, there’s nothing molded onto the figure, such as an armband, to force you to use him that way. So he can be any GI on patrol in the Ardennes or Germany in early 1945. The sculpting is typical for this line of figures, good but not up to par with Warriors or Verlinden. There are no seams or flash to deal with. The only assembly is to attach the arms to the body; the machine gun is molded onto the right arm and hand. The figure scales under 6’.
