"Fire!" U.S. Artillerymen in Firing Position
Modeling the U.S. Army in WWII

This trio of figures is posed in firing positions behind a GMC M-12. But they would also be appropriate, with a little bit of reworking, behind a 105mm or 155mm howitzer or even on a mortar team.

The commander has one arm raised to signal the gunner, and the other with his finger in his ear. A second figure stands hunched with hands over both ears. These two soldiers wear the M1943 OD jacket, wool trousers and canvas leggings. The third has his right arm extended behind him, pulling a lanyard to fire the gun. He has an M1941 khaki jacket. There is no additional gear provided for the figures.

Hwa J. Lee’s sculpting is excellent, and the faces have good expressions. Casting is clean with no flash or bubbles. This set preceded RESINation's similar gun crew. I highly recommend this set, particularly to liven up one of Italeri’s neglected howitzers.
