WWII MP Showing the Way
Modeling the U.S. Army in WWII

Belgo
176

This is a white metal figure of an MP in a clichéd stance – left arm outstretched, right arm crooked and thumb extended. But as Belgo was one of the earlier figure companies, we’ll credit them with being one of the first to commemorate this pose. This MP wears the OD M1943 jacket, short leather gaiter boots, and is equipped with web suspenders, a holstered .45, canteen and M1 carbine.

The casting is pretty decent and detailed for a metal figure. Mold seams are faint, but the boots need some cleanup. Decals for the helmet and armband can be found on Hudson & Allen’s Airborne Markings sheet.
